Yes, of course! We just make sure you have a strong support system via family or friends to help you along the way. They will be critical during the process.
Surrogate friendly health insurance will be purchased for you by the Intended Parents you are matched with.
Intended parents are from all over the world. Typically, our surrogates and Intended Parents will meet each other via a video call before moving forward with a match if meeting in person isn’t a viable option.
All surrogacy costs are covered by the agency and/or intended parents.
The Intended Parents you match with will cover all costs associated with your surrogacy.
You will be required to be seen at the Intended Parents fertility clinic, or a local fertility clinic, for the first 10-12 weeks of pregnancy. Once you graduate from the fertility clinic, you may see the OB of your choice.
Absolutely not. The baby shares 100% of the DNA/genetics of his/her parents or egg donor if one was used. Nothing will be passed on from the gestational carrier to the baby.
You may begin the screening process 6 months after having a vaginal delivery or 12 months after having a cesarian delivery. You would not be eligible to be matched with a family until you have stopped breastfeeding and the appropriate amount of time has passed to allow your body to heal after your delivery.
Coast to Coast Surrogacy will choose Intended Parents that fit the criteria you have chosen. Once we have Intended Parents interested in you, we will set up a video interview. When the video interview is over, both you and the Intended Parents will have the opportunity to decide if you would like to move forward with the other and be matched.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our extensive intake process, adhering to ASRM guidelines, ensures safe and viable Egg Donor and Surrogate candidates for a smooth journey.
After contacting us, our Surrogate intake manager will schedule a consultation and start pre-screening, including a background check, prenatal record review, and interview process. The next step begins once all required documents are returned.
We match you with excited Intended Parents, considering your preferences and coordinating a video call for introductions once both parties are interested. After an official match, you can communicate freely with your Intended Parents.
You will undergo a psychological evaluation and then medical screening, including comprehensive testing at the IVF clinic. Travel arrangements will be made if necessary, and once medically cleared, we move to the legal phase.
After medical clearance, we coordinate with attorneys to draft and review the Gestational Surrogacy Contract covering all necessary aspects. Once finalized and signed, the Intended Parent escrow account is funded for compensation and expenses.
Upon legal clearance, the IVF clinic will confirm an embryo transfer plan, and you will undergo weekly monitoring. The embryo transfer occurs when your body is ready, potentially requiring a short trip.
Your pregnancy is confirmed by an HCG test and ultrasound, after which you will receive prenatal care and begin the birth order process. You will keep your Intended Parents updated, with our support team checking in regularly.
We assist with the birth plan, ensuring the hospital knows your wishes, and your Intended Parents arrive before the due date. After delivery, the escrow account remains open for a year to ensure all medical bills are settled.
